Borges Coroa features a beautiful tawny colour. Its fragrance makes us remember the compote of cherries, ripe apricots and cedar, all very well wrapped in caramel and toasted walnuts. It has a thick texture with a persistent acidity that prolongs the taste in the mouth for a few minutes.
Winemaking:
Borges Coroa Tawny Port Wine is produced at Quinta da Soalheira, which is inserted into the unique and demarcated region of Port wines, the area with unique characteristics that make their wines, among the best in the world. It ages, in average, five years in small barrels of French oak in the cellars of Jose Maria Vieira in Vila Nova de Gaia. As the ageing of the wines inside the wood barrel increase, it is the loss of the red colour evolving into the Tawny colour, while losing the deposit in the barrel. After five years of ageing, the wines are then blended a few months before bottling.

Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão, Tinta Barroca
Tasting Notes:
It has a very beautiful tawny colour, is fruity, spicy with spices. It presents good acidity to balance its sweetness with dominant fruits, raisins and ripe cherries. The taste is sweet and rich in caramel.
Store and Serve Advice:
Serve temperature 12-15°C.
